Thanks for the C&C. :) As to your specific comments, pretty much everything 
you pointed out is purely stylistic and variable. I do appreciate the 
advice, of course. I will consider reworking the one thing that I admit 
looks clunky in retrospect (the passive voice thing).

The one instance of the color orange in the story is just me being silly. I 
can't help it, I love screwing around like that. :)

The "Quobblck" thing...yeah, it doesn't really evoke the chicken as much as 
it could, but it's the best thing I could come up with for what the sound 
this thing might actually make is. Adding any extra letters to it wouldn't 
really make it pop, or I'd have worked a rooster's crow in there somewhere. 
:/

Oh, and I capitalized Turducken because I was going for more of a...I dunno, 
a Looking Glass vibe with that. Besides, it's a six-legged fire-breathing 
bird. Show it some respect! ^_-
