All of this is my opinion, feel free to disregard.

1) The expository premise setup bit runs too long since the main point is just to get him "inserted", as it were, into other universes.
2) Why Ranma 1/2? Why the "mapping" into those characters? Aside from the irony of Sasami and Ayeka's roles, I'm rather lukewarm about the rest.  Why start at episode 1, especially if the joke at the end is that Ayeka and Ryoko ruin the experiment with their bickering?
3) Please don't make this story "Tenchi and company reproduce the iconic moments from [insert anime here]! Hilarity ensues!" There's a lot of other things you can do with this premise.
