I think I started laughing uncontrollably at this point.  Goodness, just
what's happened to this timeline?  Will Haruhi realize she knew Sasaki
all along?

Additionally, though these two parts so far, I get a very strong
impression about how much Sasaki cares for Kyon's future, even if it's
with this ever-smiling, stiffly distant sort of way.  I take it to mean
their chemistry is effective, but Haruhi and Sasaki's coldness feels
like its out of nowhere still.  Then again, it's a good source of
conflict, so I don't mind that it's there.  Still, it strikes me as
something that ought to be less equal and more one-sided from Haruhi's
direction, if anything.

Not bad so far, all the same.
