Valid points, all.  But I think it’s worth noting that, on the rare occasions stories *do* get posted any more, what does to the FFML is often a link rather than the story itself.  I’n nearly finished on a big new chapter of my long-incomplete epic, and I may well go that route myself; a plaintext conversion is a bit of a pain.
