[FFML] Atb.: The end of the FFML

Wait, top-posting is a thing now? OK, I can do that…

The question is indeed "do we want to let the list die now"?

Unfortunately, I don't have the money and my parent's dog (2-plus-hour
walks! But on the bright side I'm able to wear anything now that I could
when Dennis took over the list, unless it doesn't close properly over my
somehow-wider, but no longer fat-padded, ribs!) plus my narcolepsy would
argue I don't have the time, but IF the list is working like it was
designed (which it, somewhat ironically, HAS started doing again since
the shutdown announcement!), then it has two major advantages.

One, you don't have to recruit pre-readers individually for each
project; two, if you get a c&d from the rights holder, well, yes, you
ceased, but not before the WiP was distributed to anyone who might be
interested in it, and good luck on the creator managing to get everyone
to wipe it off the hard drive they dl'd the email to!

Someday, that /will/ turn into public domain, and that way, *someone's*
heirs can get it out and improve the reputation of the original fanfic
author.

I just wish I had any more spoons to do it (or even money--I need to get
to the point where I can consistently afford to run my parlays at
50-dollar stake instead of 3 or 5 before that's a possibility, but I'm
still better with sports betting than with stocks).
