Indeed, those changes are - at least by my impression - canon to this
recent (non-interactive, save for that one special) series, and this work
was a fanfiction of that series specifically.

There are non-Netflix ways to view it, y'arr, but it is a Netflix
production.  One of my go-tos for looking up a series that sparks my
interest is TVTropes, which will usually either spark my interest further
or reveal that it's meh (or, rarely, pop up red flags).

I wasn't sure if an acknowledgements section was needed these days.
