[FFML] Help with Ranma Meets the avatrons

Peter, just to add a couple of things to what Brian and others have said....

Grammar, spelling, and such are important, and you should definitely 
work on them. But what's ultimately going to make or break you as a 
writer is your stories themselves. Over the years we've had people on 
the FFML (Keener Barnes and Allyn Yonge are the two that come to mind) 
whose mechanics weren't really up to standards, but whose stuff I would 
gladly always read, because they knew how to write stuff with genuinely 
funny humor and/or gripping character drama. So while you do want to 
work on your mechanics, first and foremost you need to make sure that 
the story you're trying to write pays off with humor, drama, etc. 
because if you don't have that, you got nothin'.

Second, I always say that the only way to get good at anything is to 
start out being bad at it. All of us who write on this list were once 
where you were, or at least a long way from where we wanted to be. 
Learning to write is a big task, but don't let that deter you, because 
you've got to start somewhere.

I'm now going to go into the list archives and look for something to 
comment on. I'd urge others, especially those who don't think Peter's 
story is worth it, to do the same.
