Personally, I feel any aspect of html not covered by Markdown:

Is a crutch you don't need to tell a story, and that has not only worked
with the list for over a decade, but contains pretty much everything you
would expect to find in most printed novels/novellas anyway.

Mileage, of course, may vary.
