Wow. I like it quite much. Saw this on random archive trawl about July
last year, and liked it; glad to see an update.

No one ever does anything with Sakura's parents. I think this is the
first time I've seen Sakura's father as a _character_, let alone a
shinobi.

Only thing I can think of is Ookami to Koushinryou. Definitely got some
of that vibe with the economic mini-digression about cigar prices.
