I've been thinking about how to improve this on and off all day. 
That's not a particularly good idea when you're trying to work, but 
I've always been pretty good at multitasking.

I think I'm going to let this sit for a few days (note:  days, NOT 
years) before trying to do any revising.

to be helpful, and you were.
