My thought on the use here is that of if you feel it necessary go ahead and
use it.  The trouble with doing so has been shown in this thread by one
reader misconstruing it to be old man rather than young princess.  My
opinion on value of use has more to do with how it will affect the story.

If these characters are intended to be japanese, and this is a clue to show
that then it is adding to the value of the story.  If they are not, and you
simply could not come up with a single word to use for the term I would
actually recomend that you use Young Lady, or Dame, or simply Miss,
depending on if they actually have a pattent of nobility, are high class,
etc.

Alternately if they were french and you wanted to clue the reader in that
direction you could use Mesdemoiselle.  My thought on this type of
construction is that it should help to illuminate the relevent characters
culture.
