[FFML] [Info][Pokemon][Dark] Stray

Author's Notes: Hello to you all. I'm a newcomer to this mailing list or to ANY 
mailing list in general so please excuse any ignorant mistake I make here. I 
commonly go by Shadowwolf and I am a writer for Pokemon fanfiction. I have long 
been seeking exposure for my project in vain effort to bring in more readers but 
many of my attempts have failed thus far. I have posted in large archives of 
fanfiction, in topsites and in smaller specific communities but alas little 
progress was made. I have stumbled across this site when I visited a website 
built by Ace Sanchez, the author of "Pokemon MASTER", and I was surprised that 
prior to this discovery a mailing list was never mentioned to me as a possible 
option to use. A lot of things on the Internet still tend to be new to me and a 
"first time" of me experiencing it. Moving past the intro, I will like to 
comment on what I am to post later on.

"Stray" is a dark experimental Pokemon fanfiction story that takes a more 
down-to-earth view of the Pokemon universe. It is a rather oddball kind of story 
in the sense it was written like a fanfiction but the narrations and dialogue 
were done in a roleplaying-like environment. This means I am not the only writer 
for it; I am being aided by currently ten other writers besides myself. It also 
functions like a "songfic" where it has some appropriate music to a scene every 
once in a while. The combination of all this makes the experience a rather 
experimenting and unique one. The project itself remains incomplete at this 
point but I hope support here can help it reach that goal.If you wish to take a

Setting and Summary: The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting where 
humans have been extinguished and Pokemon dominate the land. Aside from random 
acts of violence, times have been peaceful and Pokemon societies learn to 
emulate human technology to better themselves. But after a mysterious event 
eight years prior to the present, outbreaks of Shadow Pokemon have been popping 
up in various areas. As these senseless attacks continue rising up, a grand war 
has risen in an effort to wipe out those monsters. Among the participants is the 
Blackclaw Dragoons, a crazed vanguard of dragon imperialists who sought to take 
over the world as "their birthright" and burn down any foe standing in their 
path. In response to the upcoming war, an alliance between smaller Pokemon 
villages has formed becoming known as the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers' goal 
is to protect the remaining "free areas" and innocents as the war rages on. 
However, the politics surrounding the Peacekeepers has formed unfortunate side 
effects of racism and dogmatic leaderships. Our attention of the story turns to 
the Pokemon who become unfortunate victims of the war...

All by his lonesome, a nomadic misanthrope Absol, with a particular hatred for 
Shadow Pokemon, wanders in the dark wilderness in search of a mysterious foe 
known as Shadow Alakazam. As he dwells on his desire for vengeance and 
seclusion, he becomes troubled by distant memories long forgotten that slither 
into his dreams; memories of his lost, broken childhood. He takes a strange turn 
to destiny as he finds a snow-covered wasteland and meets a young female Eevee. 
Temporarily becoming a companion protecting her, he embarks on a trial in which 
he will eventually discover the futility behind his misery and end up in whole 
new paradise to replace his...

Not too far away, several Pokemon take a rite of passage towards a "better" 
future. A young Abra, labeled by his elders as the "Chosen One", unwillingly 
enters a grand journey of strength and wisdom with his master to destroy the 
Shadow Pokemon threat once and for all.

After deserting the Blackclaw Dragoons, a disgruntled and foul-mouthed Dragonair 
places in a goal of being the greatest warrior the world has ever known; and he 
will accomplish this without the aid of the empire that once raised him to be a 
warrior.

A little Pidgey from a far-off "human world" has been separated from her family 
by a band of criminals to be used for personal gain, but instead in an 
interesting twist ends up escaping to a dark unknown wilderness.

More and more characters, each with a share of pains and sorrows, add to the 
list of victims of war and soon establish their places in this dark world. Stay
