Ok, got to a machine with Thunderbird. Assuming that the same options are
available on the mac.
Tools, Options, Composition, Send Options. (Adjust to match your client's
language)
Text Format: Not sure if that is marked as anything, but I guess you can try
"Send the message in both plain text and HTML" or "Convert the message to
plain text". chez-vrolet.net might not be marked as a domain that doesn't
accept HTML messages, though, so that might not work, and I recommend you
instead do the following (in this same window):
Add "chez-vrolet.net" as a Plain Text Domain
That way, any message sent to the list will be automatically converted to
plain text by thunderbird, but you won't need to give up your nice
formatting when emailing your normal friends.
If you want to force all your emails to go out as plain text, then go to
Tools, Account Settings, <your account>, Composition & Addressing, and
uncheck Compose messages in HTML format.
Considered not sending this to entire list but I'm guessing others might
want to know this as well? I'm sorry if this is slightly spammy.
