Obscure Crossover Theatre; Plunging the depths of fandom so you don't
have to. Besides, we're bored.

------------------------

Bowser, King of the Koopas, once again cursed fortune tellers,
oracles, and a certain pair of plumbers, though the last one was more
out of habit then anything else.

Bowser rolled his head around, working loose a few kinks and flexed
his large, powerful hands before settling his gaze on the small group
standing on the other side of the clearing.

"'Go on a vision quest', she said. 'Get away from the Kingdom for a
while', she said. 'Try being a hero and get some insight', she said.
Gonna wring Kammy Koopa's neck the next time I see her, that's what I
say," he grumbled. "Bloody batty lunatic."

"Hey," his companion said with a shrug, "I wanted to stay in the city
and have dinner, but noooooooo! You had to go chase down a bounty and
make me come with you. Your fault I'm here anyway."

"Okay," Bowser replied. "One, I didn't bring you along, you tackled
me. Two, I didn't trigger the D-Hopper, that was a side effect of you
tackling me, Three, I didn't lose the D-Hopper, you did, and Four, if
we don't collect this bounty, we don't eat."

"Hey, we're heroes, and heroes eat free!"

"You're a true hero, alright," Bowser grumbled, "I've seen fence posts
with a higher IQ."

"Hey! Excuuuuuuuse me, your highness!"

"Shut up, Link!" Bowser snapped. "One, it's couple of kids and a
robot. Two, you're doing that stupid excuse me thing again and it's
pissing me off."

"For the last time, what 'excuse me' thing, and aren't you the guy who
regularly got his butt kicked by a couple of plumbers and their pet
mushroom man?"

For a moment, Bowser considered crushing Link's head and then thought
better of it. Link was asking to be killed every time he opened his
mouth, but the two of them had been trekking across this realm for
months now and whatever else his faults, Link was very, very good with
a sword. Besides, he had a point.

Putting the hero out of his mind for a moment, Bowser weighed their
opponents. The kid could do some weird freaky thing with his arms, the
girl seemed to be a brawler of some kind and Mother Terrapin only knew
what the robot was capable of. Not to mention, the bounty mentioned
some frog thing and a blue guy, neither of whom seemed to be around,
but were probably just waiting to pounce on him when he least he
expected it.

"Look, kid!" Bowser called across the clearing, "This aint personal,
but my idiot friend and I gotta eat. You wanna make this simple and
just come with us?"

"No!" was the shouted reply and the girl and the robot nodded their
agreement. "We're not going with you, so tell your boss he can stuff
it!"

"Why do you heroes always want to do it the hard way?" Bowser grumbled
as he and Link started forward.

"Why do you villains keep coming back after we beat you?"

Bowser thought about that. He'd been hit with a car, dunked in lava,
clubbed, jumped on, kicked, punched, dropped from great heights, and
tossed into the deepest ocean in the Mushroom Kingdom. And that had
just been when he and his siblings had been discussing who was best
qualified to take their father's throne. "Too damn stubborn," he
muttered. "That's my problem, I'm just too damn stubborn."

As they closed in, the kid's arms flashed, his arms being replaced by
some vines which he wielded like whips. One thing was for sure, Bowser
would be very, very happy to leave. This Galidor place was just too
weird.

--------------------
Galidor was a two season show that seems to have just dropped off most
people's radar. It ran during the very early years of the Fox Kid's
network and followed the adventures of a kid named Nicholas Bluetooth
as he fought to save the world of Galidor from an evil tyrant.

The series was later canceled and while series star Matthew Ewald has
been trying to resurrect it, it seems highly unlikely to ever return
to the small screen or even return at all.

Disclaimers: The legend of Zelda belongs to Nintendo, Galidor is the
property of Fox Kids. Bowser belongs to Nintendo as well and Mother
Terrapin is the creation of Ursula Vernon. I highly recommend her work.
