By the way, folks -- DO NOT read too much into the closing scene with 
Aritsuka's death. I figured that one would go over some readers' heads...I'd 
wager about 30% of the people reading this will not have figured that one 
out.

So I'll just spell it out right here:

That scene is a random, pointless cameo, a "Deleted Scene" that I threw in 
just for the hell of it.

When I originally posted this chapter, I mentioned that it was the 
"Tarantino chapter".

The chapter title is "Without Honour or Humanity".

For those who still don't get it, THAT WAS BILL.

Yes, THAT Bill.

And he's not showing up again. That was just a one-time thing.

The yakuza/gangster stuff is also officially over and done with. It won't be 
showing up again. All the loose ends from that will be tied up in chapter 
18, and from then on, we're back to straight-up Dark Kingdom stuff. The 
entire point of the yakuza arc was to further Makoto's storyline, it's 
served its purpose, I'm not dwelling on it.
