Is there anything significant about using Sten machine guns?  They  
haven't  been mass produced in over 50 years.  There are a lot of  
currently or recently made submachineguns that are lighter, smaller  
and more reliable.  On the other hand, they are probably the easiest  
to secretly build yourself from plans if you are unable to buy a  
machinegun on the black market.
