Or it could be her hardware.  I believe Ariel mentioned having a pretty
old box, so it at least seems possible that sufficiently large files
somehow cause her ability to do anything on the network to just crap
out. (Alas, I wouldn't know - I work on enterprise grade shtuff these
days, and it is rare that I'm looking at anything on an end user box.)

Or, well, her cable modem is flakey and breaks down on a constant
stream.

There are any numer of things that can go wrong here.  Alas, I don't
have the ability to diagnose and won't provide technical support for XP
any longer since Microsoft has killed it.
