I am very sorry to hear that.  I remember him as being very talented, very articulate, and very passionate and his fanfic.  He picked more than a few fights and lost his temper more than a few times.  But he was also capable of compassion and empathy, was welcoming to new authors, and poured his heart into his writing.

I miss the halcyon days of this list in the 90's where fanfics and commentary flew fast and furious, and Robert was right in the middle of it.  He'll always hold a special place in my memory for that.

Some of you might remember the Eternal Lost Lurker, aka MithrilMoth. It pains me to inform those of us that remain in the list, that he passed away this last Sunday in his sleep. I've lost track of a lot of people here, and seen some of you in fimfic. If you're ever there, drop a line, I'd love to hear from you, even as we lose one of our own.
