and a few others are taken from "Spirit Within", "Spirit Within II", and 
"Spirit Within III" a series of Ranma 1/2 fanfics written by Sean D'anna.

AN5 : My RL name is not Kyle, I did not give him a last name simply because 
I could not think of a good one, and I do not know anyone named Cynthia.

Prologue

Hi! My name is Kyle. You don't need to know my last name.

It was just a nice night in the house. I had just, a little while ago, 
gotten back from attending my friend Cynthia's (call me Cyn) wedding. And I 
was still a little tipsy from all the drinks I had consumed. Well, maybe a 
bit more Tipsy. ... ... ... Alright, I was smashed. Totally.

I was currently sitting in front of my comp playing a very heavily modded 
Skyrim, I -love- the custom character mod and the TARDIS mod and the modern 
weapons mod too.

Then I decided to take a break from being the dovahkiin and started browsing 
through the web instead. I went to Google and typed in 'Worm Series', just 
to see what I would get. My attention was caught by a link that said 'Online 
Worm CYOA Complete Form' and I wondered what it was.

Clicking the link brought me to a site that had what appeared to be a custom 
version of the Worm CYOA and little boxes you fill out to make your choices. 
I was curious about this so I thought I would give it a try. I didn't have 
anything better to do at the moment.

Now if the room would just stop spinning. Spin, spin, spin, spin, spin. 
Wheee! Hahahahahahaha!

Since this was all a game I decided to be a bit silly and choose stupid and 
ridiculous things. It's not like any of this was actually gonna happen.

The first part of this thing seemed to be 'Method of Arrival'. I read all 
the choices, blinking at some of them, and chose 'Reincarnation'. For the 
specifics I chose 'Random'. And I chose time of awakening as 'Random'.

The next part was the 'Difficulty'. Boy. This was a bit different from the 
one I was familiar with.

Well some of those sounded somewhat interesting to me.

Hmmm... So, limited 'Powers'. Yeah. Maybe. Perhaps, that choice.

For my 'Difficulty' I chose 'Standard Nerfed'. A little box popped up saying 
'7 points remaining', then another little box popped up saying 'your powers 
will be limited'.

"Yeah!" I crowed. "I can beat this game on the standard nerfed mode cause I 
am so awesome!"

I giggled drunkenly.

Next up was the 'Disadvantages'.

And there I chose 'Kryptonite' gaining two points. I blinked as a button 
appeared then saying 'press to generate random weakness'. I clicked the 
button and it filled in the weakness field with 'A High Deadly Allergy To 
Yak Milk'. Huh, yak milk? Yak milk? YAK MILK!? WTF? I chose 'Enemy' gaining 
three points. I blinked as a button appeared then saying 'press to generate 
random enemy'. I clicked the button and it filled in the enemy field with 
'Evil Clone Of Vista Without Any Limitations'. Wait a moment, Vista never 
had an evil clone. I guess it was really a random generated enemy. Shrugging 
then I chose 'Geas' gaining one point and I typed in 'a fear of wasps and 
similar insects'. If I was going to be compelled to be afraid of something. 
Might as well be something I'm already afraid of in RL. 'Wanted' gaining 
three points and I typed in 'ABB/E88/Merchants'. I could survive those 
guys... by running. And 'Without a Map' gaining 2 points and I typed in 'in 
a three-way fight between the E88/ABB/Merchants'. The little box popped up 
again saying '17 points remaining'.

Well that was good. I only needed two points and I'd have the full nineteen 
I was allowed. I scrolled on down to 'Things Get Worse'.

I chose 'Disastrous' gaining two points and I typed in 'a Fourth 
Endbringer'. The little box popped up again saying '19 points remaining', 
'no extra points', 'proceed on now'.

So it kept track of extra points now. It wouldn't let me go over the limit. 
Well that was good. I relaxed knowing the machine would do all the 
calculations for me right now. I was too drunk to add two plus two. I'm glad 
I had some machine here. I decided that now that I had them I would spend 
them.

I decided to skip the 'Powers' and come back to it later and went straight 
to 'Advantages'.

For 'Advantages' I chose 'Badass Normal' costing one point. "Looks like I 
won't be going back to Powers afterall now." I said to myself. I chose 
'Cauldron Vials' costing two points. "Hmmm..." I wondered to myself. "Might 
this be a way around the restriction on 'Badass Normal'? Afterall it never 
said I couldn't acquire a Power after I arrived. So..... I could skip buying 
Powers here and use a vial to acquire a Power after I arrive. And 'Badass
Normal' should still work for me. Yeah." I chose 'Charles Atlas Superpowers' 
costing one point. "Wow, I'm gonna be really powerful with this." I said to 
myself. 'Comic Book Pretty' costing one point. "Might as well look good if 
possible." I chose 'Companion' costing one point and I typed in 'reformed 
Sunset Shimmer'. "Yeah Sunset!" I exclaimed. "Alright Sunset! She's so cute 
I gotta meet her!". 'Item of Power' costing one point and I typed in 
'Captain America's vibranium/uru shield and a version of his uniform made of 
unstable molecules'. "What better gear for a hero than this?" I asked the 
universe. Mmmm... It didn't answer. I chose 'Man of Mystery' costing one 
point. "Never gonna know who I am now." I giggled. I chose 'Resources' 
costing one point. "Money!" I yelled in happiness. "Yeah the money! Gimme 
the money now yes!" I chose 'Extra Skill' costing one point and I typed in 
'Anything-Goes Martial Artist'. "I wonder if this will actually work?" I 
thought quite hopeful. I chose 'Mental Fortress' costing one point. "Let's 
see you do anything to my mind now." I said quite happily. I chose 'Temporal 
Ghost' costing one point. "Hah!" I said out loud. "Take that Coil! Stick it 
Coil!" I chose 'Special Snowflake' costing one point. "Hmmm..." I pondered. 
"Would this work on me even though I don't have any Powers? Then again I do 
plan to use that vial to gain a Power." The little box popped up again 
saying '6 points remaining'. I blinked, I hadn't realized I'd used up that 
many so far.

"Wheee!" I shouted gleefully.

For 'A Brighter World?' I chose 'For Want of a Nail' costing one point and I 
typed in 'shards do not cause conflict', and 'Crossover' costing two points 
and I typed in 'Friendship is Magic' then I typed in 'it's always been this 
way'. The little box popped up again saying '3 points remaining. would you 
like to discard, spend, or convert points into cash for insertion. choose'.

I shrugged at that. I didn't really like the idea of discarding some points 
I'd earned. But it was just two points. And what could I spend that on. As 
for turning it into cash. I already had the cool 'Resources' 'Advantage' so 
I didn't think I really needed it. However you never did know when you might 
need as much cash as you can get. I decided to convert it right then.

It seems to have worked just fine. Hmmm that took care of that now. Well, 
looks I was done filling this thing out.

"Excellent." I say in imitation of a Mondasian Cyberman.

I stretched and yawned, wondering what to do next. Maybe I should watch 'Die 
Hard' or 'Rainbow Rocks'. One had some real cool action and neat stunts, the 
other had Sunset Shimmer. Yeah, no contest here pal. I reached for my 
'Rainbow Rocks' dvd.

"Gimme my Sunset!" I shouted joyfully. "Yeah, Sunset! She's so cute!"

Another box popped up saying 'press'. I blinked, shrugged, and clicked it. 
Another box popped up saying 'your choices have been made. universal 
insertion will now commence. bye bye now, have fun!'

There is a sudden disorientation, and I am gone.

06/12/1995

Darkness was all I could see. I could not move and it had been so for a long 
time. I occupied his time by playing back the many memories of my past life. 
'Perhaps this is what heaven is.' I thought. I felt very warm and secure. 
Then everything changed; behind me I felt something give.

I felt something push me forward and crush me. I tried to breathe but no air 
could be found, I writhed as I felt the world shift forward, in a panic I 
began to struggle. The wall around me began to close together.

'Oh god! I've gone to hell!' I thought desperately. I felt something grip my 
head hard and pull. I felt cool air on the top of my head and tried to open 
my eyes, but they seemed sealed shut. I felt myself being lifted into the 
air by my feet and bright lights surrounded me.

A sudden pain came across my back and I saw a large colorful blur move 
towards me. I registered speech in the air and I realized what had happened. 
I had just been born. I began to scream.

The only sound I could make.

A few months later I lay in my crib. I listened to the voices coo and coddle 
me and the shapes that started to focus around me became clearer, soon I was 
beginning to recognize them but they were still blurry and my instinct was 
lessening so I was no longer so attracted to mere movement. Then one day I 
woke up and saw two faces clearly as my eyes finally began to focus clearly. 
I looked up at the faces looking down on me, one was calm and loving and the 
other was jovial and loving as well.

My mother looked at me and said "Aren't you the sweetest thing my dear 
little girl."

'Girl?' I thought. 'Girl??? Girl! Huh what girl! You're kidding me!'

My father looked at me and said "You're the most perfect little angel of a 
girl there ever was my dear Madison."

'Madison?' I thought in shock. 'Madison! MADISON! Well now it's official. 
God hates me yeah.'

I just lay there in shock at the fact that I'd been reincarnated as Madison. 
As Madison Clements. A cruel bully.

I did the only thing I could do.

I opened my mouth.

And I screamed.
