Any idea when-abouts it may have been?

I've got a near-complete archive of everything that's come through the
FFML since mid-2001, with no holes that I know of, so if it's ever been
posted here I may well be able to track it down. That's a lot of posts
to search through, though, so having an approximate time-frame to narrow
it down would help quite a bit.
