Just to note: in my experience, most people who think they
must write in HTML when plain text would in fact suffice,
have no concept of "<i>...</i>".  All they know is, "select
this text and hit Ctrl+I or click this button and it's italics".
I do not believe anyone is seriously proposing a WYSIWYG
interface on the forum, assuming we go with a forum, so
full HTML seems to be a nonstarter anyway.
