A review is always a good thing.

Subject: [FFML] [Inquiry] Hearts and Minds

As you may know, I've been finishing up my long-running (and long
dormant) series Hearts and Minds (or HaM for short). Over the past
couple of months I've posted parts 8 and 9 and am currently about
halfway through a rough draft of the final chapter.

I realize the FFML isn't what it once was, but the lack of response on
these chapters concerns me. Part 7, posted last year, got only one
response. Part 8 got none at all, and Part 9 has so far after being
out for about a week gotten none either. I think this series has
potential to be one of the best things I've written, but it's
frustrating not knowing whether what I'm putting out is any good or
even whether anyone is reading it.

I'm wondering if one possible reason for these chapters disappearing
into the void is that people haven't seen the older ones. This series
dates back to 1999 so it's understandable that a lot of people might
be new to the list since then, and others may have forgotten about it.

So my question here is, should I post the old chapters again?
Specifically, would posting (possibly) final revisions of the older
chapters, say at a rate of one per week, make anyone more likely to
read (and hopefully comment on) the newer ones including the conclusion?

Please let me know. I do finish what I start, and I'm not threatening
to take my ball and go home, so even if I don't hear from anyone I'll
still post the final part once it's ready.
