Pinkie's Secret

    It was cold.

    It was malignant.

    It was hungry.

    It had invaded the dreams of five of the Element Bearers. Only one more 
to go, and they would be removed as a threat.

    "Soon." it chuckled. "Soon they will be mine. Five down, one to go."

    It entered into the last Element Bearer, the Element of Laughter... 
Pinkie Pie. And it found...

    "What???" it asked in stunned surprise. "There's... There's -nothing 
here-!"

    Indeed where normally there would be dreams, there was nothing. A great 
big, black, empty void of nothing. Nothing at all.

    "How can this be?!" it shrieked. "For there to be nothing here now... 
That would mean there is no mind in this body now."

    "That's right!" a cheery voice sounded around it. "I keep my mind 
elsewhere. I'm not silly enough to leave it in such an obvious place now."

    The creature spun around, or the equivalent in mindscape, and "saw" a... 
pink party pony.

    "You!" it bellowed. "How did you do this?! How did you hide your mind 
from me here?!"

    "I've been watching you." said Pinkie. "What you're doing."

    Pinkie's expression went from happy to angry.

    "What you've been doing to my friends!" she snarled.

    "Oh, like I should fear a pink pastel pony." the being mocked. "Even if 
you can hide your mind. I will eventually find it and break it, like I did 
theirs."

    Pinkie's lips compressed. Her eyes narrowed. "I think it's time to let 
you in on something. I only wear the form of a pony. I'm not a pony. That's 
why you couldn't find my mind. I keep it elsewhere. In my true body. Not in 
this remote controlled toy." she said gesturing to the pony form she wore 
now.

    "I do not fear you." it said. "No matter what you are. I'll destroy you, 
and them."

    Pinkie merely looked at it, then let her true form show. What she really 
was inside.

    It was cold.

    It was malignant.

    It was hungry.

    It was old.

    It was powerful.

    It took one look at Pinkie's true form, and it ran screaming.

    Pinkie nodded in satisfaction as it fled. Then she resumed her pony 
form. It wouldn't do to give some poor pony a heartattack if they saw her 
true self in their dreams now.

    "Well." she said. "That takes care of that. Now to fix the damage it did 
to the others and things can go back to normal again."
