I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and thanks for taking the time to let me
know you did!

It seems that, almost without fail, the way to get replies out of the
FFML is to assume I won't get any and not wait very long before posting
the "final" version on various web archives.  :)

I thought it was kind of boring how - no matter what the divergence -
every time that mission shows up in fanfic it went down only a couple of
different ways.
