All considered, that's likely the best explanation - but considering
how much spam flows through the tubes, I can't really blame any one
company for not doing this. I really wish they'd just do what they
need to do in order to stem the worst offenders - which on the server
end is actually pretty easy.
In any case, the problem has hopefully been solved - I've been in
communication with one blacklist service that seems to be responsive,
and we've found a way to get myself off of the blacklist.
