Hello all.
Moonshadow chapter 21 is progressing nicely. I won't promise it'll be done
by the end of the year, but I'm going to do my damnedest to try.
The Moonshadow gaiden special...don't expect it until spring, if that soon.
It won't be posted to the FFML at all, because it's going to be too heavily
dependent upon special HTML-enriched content that won't translate well into
plain text e-mail. When and if it's ever finished, I'll post a link here.
Fire in the Water is on pretty much indefinite hiatus again. The problem is
Act Four just DOES NOT want to get written. The battle sequences have been
kicking my ass for two years now. I'm sorry. I'm really, truly sorry.
My Conan projects are also pretty much dead in the water, due to a complete
and total lack of interest not only from my readers, but on my own part. Not
that my Conan fandom has died in any way; it's just writing about Detective
Conan is nowhere near as much fun as *watching* Detective Conan.
And now, the Start A New Project bug has bitten again. Hard. I'm honestly
not sure if anything is going to come of this, but...
Ah well. Here's a teaser. Enjoy.
=======================================================
It is your second year of high school.
Your old school had to shut down after an incident involving lasagna, Lou
Ferrigno, and a hibiscus. Because your entrance exam scores and school
records were good enough, and your parents won a large prize in the lottery,
you were able to transfer into Dokokara High School, a prestigious school
sponsored and administrated by the Mihama Group.
You take the late ferry out to the island, and arrive just before midnight.
You consult your map of the island; you'll be staying in Nazekokoni Dorm,
which appears to be quite a distance from the port station. With a heavy
sigh, you board the monorail, just as the doors are closing. You pop the
earbuds of your myPod in, and soothing pop music begins to stream into your
ears, easing your cares...
Then the clock strikes midnight, and the music abruptly stops. Frowning, you
open your eyes, wondering if you forgot to charge the player before you left
home...
The monorail has stopped. The world around you doesn't look quite right.
Everything looks...strange. Surreal. Spooky, even.
Worst of all, the other late-night passengers are gone, and in their place:
eerie, blood-red crystal coffins, floating serenely in midair.
