One of my favorite published authors often says, "vague is good."
I'm not figuring it out looking up sten gun on google.  I foresee a  
palm to my forehead in the future, accompanied by a, "Duh! That's  
what it was!"
Sten Mk II can be broken down into 4 sub assemblies for concealment;  
stock, receiver, barrel and magazine.  On the principle of "vague is  
good" you could say something like, "quickly assembled submachine  
guns from parts the pulled from their bags." without  specifying the  
model.  I think there are other SMGs that can be broken down and  
quickly reassembled as well.
