My two cents,

The writing itself was good, some charachters compelling and the situation
interesting.

I do not believe the author intends this to be  his  treatise on social
evolution or a model society upon which we should base all of our future
political thoughts.

I could have said more but I would be joining an argument I do not wish to
propogate.  The writing was good, some of the charachters interesting.  I
got the ocasional laugh or giggle, and the ocasional horrified grimace of
distaste.
