I like that as well.  I've seen a couple of stories of Bruce Wayne being 
Superman, but not Barbra Gordon as Supergirl.

I have not read too much of the current Supergirl, only the Superman/Batman 
title and the first story arc.  She looked like she was a horror  show 
reject in those.

Very true.

I have always had problems that Peter David dropped Mae as much as possible. 
The fact is that Mae was viable character in her own right, but PAD wanted 
to go with that whole Earth-Bound Angel stuff.  Mae has memories of that 
pocket universe where she was created from a good Lex Luthor's protoplasmic 
lifeform experiment and the DNA of Lana Lang.  Mae was originally a red-head 
and looked like Lana Lang.  Now, she looks like a blonde Lana Lang.   Barbra 
Gordon is very intellegent and with the memories that Mae brings, she'll be 
up in the scientific fields more than she was.  I think both of them 
have/had photographic memory.

Human sacrifice and Barbra stops it?

Barbra Gordon is one of the few in the Bat family that is not tied 
completely to Gotham.  She was a senator or representaive and operated in 
Washington DC for a couple years.

I can see Barbra moving out of Gotham and going somewhere that is more like 
both sides of her personality and maybe tied back to the original 
Supergirl-Midvale, Leesburg, New Athens(Florida), Chicago

Chicago and Superrgirl might have to deal with that silly robot called 
Matrix Prime and the criminal orginization that built it.
