Thanks, and it's one of my favorites too. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else thought of the idea before, actually.

Yep, I know...but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all in Japan. Earlier this year, there was a government official in Fukuoka (iirc) who while driving drunk had a head-on collision on a bridge, killing a young family. Also, last year a couple of guys managed to total their car about five minutes walk from my apartment....

What makes you think she didn't? (^_^)
Seriously, I actually had that line in when I first wrote it, but edited it out when reducing the overall wordiness of the fic (a common flaw in my writing, alas). I'll look at it again. (My initial thought was that maybe Keiichi likes Coke.)
(OT: The ad campaign for Coke Zero here was kind of amusing. I couldn't think of a way to work it into a fic, though.)
I might actually try to remove most of the introductory bit altogether.
