I've heard a lot of criticism over the most recent chapter of the 
story.  One thing that I think needs to be pointed out is that this 
story isn't done yet.  I can't count the number of times I've released 
a chapter to the FFML and received criticism that was already planned 
to be addressed in later chapters.  There's still a long way to go; as 
we saw, the author is still getting the band back together.

That said, there are ways to mitigate the "It's only Doctor Who" 
effect, I think, if you want to.  If there is any problem, it's that 
the chapter focuses almost entirely on this one area - the main group 
of the Grangers, the Doctor, and Rose.  One thing the old Doctor Who 
series did often was take diverse scenes early on, then bring them 
together as the plot thickened.  First on the list: Who Killed Hermione 
Granger, and what are they doing now?  You don't need to reveal who's 
behind it all, just show what they're seeing or thinking.  Second on 
the list: Harry and Ron.  Yeah, like they're going to sit at home and 
wait while their friend is going through a "family emergency".   A 
third idea: Tegan, Sarah Jane, maybe the Chestertons.  What are they up 
to now?  Maybe a post-bowling bar hop for Herbert... Anyway, it might 
be a good idea to add a scene or two from any of these.

Anyway, besides that, I just wanted to say that I enjoy the series and 
can't wait for more.

There are valid points in the criticisms being offered.

These do not number among them.

The story is set in a combination of the Doctor Who and Harry Potter
universes, and features characters existing in the vast, rich history 
and
lore of both series.

Ergo, it is a Harry Potter/Doctor Who crossover, regardless of whatever
pedantic twitterings to the contrary are bleated forth.
