For everyone who spammed about writing and grammar, thanks for nearly
ruining the topic, i dont need a crowd of people hanging around my help
wanted add and critisizing it,
Then you've come to the wrong place. This is a list for writers.
While I may personally treat it as just a point of distribution, that
is not its purpose, nor is it the only thing you'll get from it. This
list was created so that writers could get comments and criticism (the
infamous "C&C") from other writers. And whether you like it or not,
that means you are going to get comments about your spelling, grammar
and style.
if you dont like it then dont respond or
let me know in person
If you don't want public commentary, don't ask public questions.
The thing is, I can't understand your attitude on this. You want to
write something, but you don't want to be bothered to write it *well*?
And while you're perfectly happy stripmining us for story ideas, you
get insulted if we tell you that you need to improve your storytelling
*skills*? Bwah? Explain that, please? That's like barging into a
carpenter's shop and bellowing, "I have a piece of broken glass and
a perfectly good rock, now are you going to tell me how to make a
Chippendale chair or not?" If you have any serious intention to write,
you have to understand that words are your tools, and unless you're
very, very, *very* good already, you have to use them correctly.
"Almost" doesn't count -- it just makes you look like an illiterate
goon.
