    Ranma and friends were sitting at the Tendo Dojo watching a movie.

    Suddenly the tv screen started glowing and a glob of darkness emerged.

    "Ranma Saotome..." it said in a voice like dead leaves crumpling away 
and breaking. "You thought this was just a movie?! Prepare for your new 
existence of fright."

    The darkness grabbed Ranma and sucked him back into the tv.

    Ranma's friends/acquaintances/others could move again.

    They fled when the darkness emerged farther, and looked back at the 
home, which was covered by a patch of darkness which moved and rippled like 
a living thing suffering unbearable agony and torment while dying slowly.

    A strange black snow began to fall in Nerima, and it got... foggy.
