Howdy, y'all.
I'll be running the Anime Weekend Atlanta 12 fanfiction panel this
year. AWA 12 is September 22-24, 2006. We have a two hour slot
starting at 4PM on Friday the 22nd.
I need 3-4 people. TJ Hamilton used to run the panel, but has handed
it off to me. Especially as last year his other duties interfered to
the point where I was the lone panelist. I am hoping this year will be
quite different.
I can offer the panelists free badges *if* they'll be kind enough to
do some staffing work in addition, like loading, unloading, set up,
tear down, errand running, etc. If you can somehow swing showing up on
the 21st, I can make sure you only work that day, get your free badge,
and enjoy the rest of the con.
Requirements: Obviously, you must be a fanfiction writer of some type.
Anime strongly encouraged. This is afterall an anime convention. You
don't need to have been recently active (lord knows I'm not), but you
need to be able to demonstrate a fair experience with writing fiction.
You may wish to send me a sample.
I admit, I'd like at least one other member of the old guard to show
up (Nick Leifker, I may be talking to you), just so I won't feel so
old, but it's definitely not a requirement.
