In the past, I've often berated fanfic writers for ignorance of the layout
and structure of Tokyo. Specifically, the belief that Nerima exists
somewhere nonspecific outside of Tokyo, when it is in fact a part of central
mainland Tokyo proper.

I was browsing Wiki earlier today for a minor bit of research, and hit upon
an article that explicitly details information on the nijuusanku, or
tokubetsuku--the "23 special wards" that make up most of the central Tokyo
Metropolitan area:

I highly recommend all anime fanfiction writers bookmark and study this
article *thoroughly*, especially if you've never actually been to Tokyo or
bothered to research anything about the city whatsoever. This will be
extremely helpful in adding credibility to your writing. :)
