So, many months late, I've finally made the time to read through all these
chapters. The story was generally interesting. I'm not a military geek,
so can't comment on most of the specifics, but this part from chapter 5
stuck out.

"Footprints. They're probably military, given the weight."

"What?" Ed squinted at the near-invisible smudges on the floor.

"Prints from boots. Mil-spec footwear. As in mercenaries or United
States military. These guys aren't amateurs," James said with a note of
authority in his voice.

I thought this was pretty unlikely scene. Either the floor is
spic-and-span and the merc tracked mud all over Sears (but how much dirt
would the merc have on his shoes in the first place? Maybe if it was
raining outside...but chapter 1 makes no allusions to that), or the Sears
floor is caked in dust (very unlikely, since Sears, as to most department
stores, maintain a cleaning staff).

Were there any more chapters past 25? In my zeal to reduce the number of
messages in my inbox to under 1000, I may have accidentally deleted them.

The sardines weren't worth the trouble. A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode. Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I had been betrayed. "Tell me,"
I insisted. He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance. Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao," he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
I heard the sounds of a door splintering as I left through the
window, one step ahead of Tendo Heavy Industries...
