Okay, I just want to say at the outset here that I'm glad I live
alone ... because I started to laugh like a maniac when I figured
out the Maguffin in this story.
I had to google Maguffin.
The first time I read this through, I thought: Wow, Hermione's
become a zombie? ^_^
You know, that's a thought. When you get right down to it, the Time
Lords could be considered undead after the first Regeneration.
The whole alien-language thing in this chapter bothers me. It
never shows up in the canon Who; the TARDIS translates everything.
So does Romana's TARDIS work differently, or does she have the
translation effect switched off, or what?
I hadn't really considered it. I suppose she would have either
switched it off or set it to only Earth Languages.
This bothers me a little. Further down, you make it clear that
Janet/Romana set her conditions at the time of their marriage.
That's sixteen years earlier. One might have expected Herbert to
have virtually forgotten about it by now ... unless other "strange
things" have happened in the interim. If so, it would be
enlightening to know what. (Though, of course, there's plenty
of time for you to reveal this in later chapters.)
I think it's something that's just stayed lodged in his brain all
those years.
Sloppy in love with her, he'd agreed and she had accepted his ring
and a month later, they were married. He had no regrets, but he
sometimes he wondered.
I just wanted to say that I rather like that phrase, "Sloppy in
love with her". ^_^
Thanks I got it from a mystery novel whose title escapes me at the
moment. I believe it's "Judgement In Death" by J.D. Robb. I highly
reccomend the series.
Poser!
Okay, the Doctor likes doing that too. :)
Well she had to have picked it up somewhere.
"A little something of mine," Her mother replied. "And really, given
some of the things you've told me about your school, your friends and
that . . . Qudditch game, finding this should hardly be worth batting
an eye."
... Good point ...
Thanks.
Question mark? *groan*
Hee hee hee
"Roman." Heh. Cute.
Thanks.
Please tell me the store isn't Henrik's (where Rose worked)...
Well I hadn't really thought about it, but now that you mention it . . .
If this is supposed to be the Tenth Doctor, he doesn't have black
hair. It's brown.
It looks black on my screen.
"What are you staring at?" Mickey demanded.
"I'm sorry," Janet said, a tremor in her voice. "Did I hear you say
Tardis?"
Now the man in the brown suit was looking at them curiously.
"No, I said Cardiff," Mickey snarled. "Bugger off."
Why's he being so rude? He's not usually this bad.
Mickey always struck me as being a bit touchy and brash.
I like the way Cardiff keeps coming up in this story. Fits in nicely
with the new series. ^_^
Unintentional. It just seemed like a good place to use.
