Get back to Rob about this, not me.

All,
Over the past day, everyones been talking about how to save the FFML.
Theres been a lot of ideas thrown about, and frankly, one of them that
I think hasnt been discussed is that of advertising.
So Im going to go on a limb on this one. As you can see from below, one
the things I do is director of programming for AnimeUSA, a Washington
DC-based anime con going on 17-19 November. Im going to request that a
few people volunteer (if so willing) do a 60-minute panel on the FFML,
what it does and what it stands for, and as well as a recruitment drive.
I cant do this myself because of time constraints (running programming
at a con is no walk in the park), as well as conflict of interest. But
if there are people willing to do it, Ill be willing to throw in a max
of five badges for full admission to the con for the entire duration.
Essentially, for sixty minutes of talking about it and trying to recruit
for the FFML, youll have free admission to the con.
I realize not everyone can do this (I have no idea how many FFMLers
aside from myself live within reasonable traveling distance to the con).
I realize that it might not help things. But Im willing to make the
offer, if there are any takers. If so, please contact me at
programming@animeusa.org <mailto:programming@animeusa.org> with the
following:
Name (I need your real name, if youre using a handle)
Age (If you are under the age of 13 I doubt thats the case for most
of you I must exclude you from this due to convention policy)
What you propose to talk about at the panel and how you can work to make
it a success (ie, signing up names and such).
Once I have the five who are willing to do this, Ill put you all in
contact so you can work together to firm up your plans.
