I don't think Harry has been reading the same D&D books I'm familiar
with--astral projection is a 9th level spell.  I don't think separating
the spirit from the body is something anyone is going to think of as a
cantrip, even if they are 11--they're more likely to follow the books
explicitly.

It is, however, a basic beginner's-level ability of all spellcasters in
"Shadowrun", and if I recall correctly not a terribly advanced
manifestation in "Mage: The Ascension", at least in the first edition
and the GURPS version.  Plus myth and folklore clearly consider it
possible for even an untrained individual.  Depending on the paradigm
he chooses to work with, there's no reason why Harry *shouldn't*
consider it a cantrip-level effect.

Dragonbard, I want to let you know I've started on C&C for this story,
which hopefully I can finish tonight, but pending that I want to say
that I'm really enjoying it and am eagerly looking forward to seeing
more.  Please don't stop writing this!
