Huh.  Except for the wretched last episode of it, I thought the Star
Village filler was one of the better ones.

Eh, it had the potential to be. The problem is:

1. It went on WAY TOO DAMN LONG. Seriously, SIX EPISODES?

2. The last episode of it was CRAP.

Kabuto is a HELL of a lot more dangerous than he looks. And, quite

frankly,

I'm not entirely sure Orochimaru is the one we should be afraid of...

Also, Tsunade is under some pretty bad handicaps in that fight, what
with the whole being out of practice and having the crippling fear of
blood.

"Hey, cut me some slack! I haven't ninjaed in a while!"

"Ano...Erosennin...WHY are we makin' this bachan Hokage?"

 And even with that, if she'd pulled out the moves she uses a
little later against Orochimaru, there doesn't seem to me any evidence
that Kabuto would have stood a chance.

I still say Kabuto is potentially more dangerous than the Sannin and
Akatsuki COMBINED. I don't know for sure what it is, but something about him
sets off my Freaky Shit Meter.

Was it mentioned somewhere that Lee is an orphan?

Yup.

You sure that isn't just fanon?  I don't remember hearing anything one
way or another about Lee's family in canon, and Leafninja's character
bio (which is usually pretty accurate/complete) doesn't mention it.

I'm almost positive it's mentioned in the anime that he has no known family.
