What the hell.  I'll delurk for this...

What you've got here is an opening scene and a hook to start the story.  It can be presumed later that we'll learn the circumstances for why Ranma's convictions are so strong and for what reasons worshipping Belldandy is an offense punishable by exile.  We could also reasonably suspect to learn Genma's and Happosai's roles in this world.  Posting exposition as author's notes don't quite cover it.

You've got the beginnings of a beginning, but no turning point, no middle, and no end.  This is not a story.  Yet.

So, what happens next?  Ranma's been cast out of his home.  Does he have a goal?  Will his goal conflict with others'?  What about Belldandy?  Does she hold some affection for Ranma, or is he more of a pawn in a larger plan?  What are her desires?  Aside from Happi and Genma, what of the others from Nerima?  Do any of them have any stake in the outcome of Ranma's exile?  Are any of them tied to a different AMG celestial being?  Do those beings have any desires regarding Ranma and Belldandy?
