Dragonboy: A good night's sleep later, and we return to tackle the rest of
a weekend's worth of mail.

Dragon-Stiel Inc. Presents: A C&C/MST review for-

>From Darkest Skies
A Ranma 1/2 one-shot
by M A Davis / Miko

Ranma felt it, just before the explosion: a battle aura of
immense proportions. Not even Happosai at his most lustful had ever
  produced such a powerful aura.

Stiel: Not even the time when he dreamt he was the new owner and operator
of JUGGS magazine?

Then came the explosion. A ball of energy hurling across the
land, destroying everything in its path. So large that it swallowed
entire city blocks, the massive chi blast destroyed everything in its
path and rained debris down on the entire neighborhood.

Dragonboy: Property damage to the extreme. Who could it possibly be?

Out of the cloud of dust strode a familiar figure -- a muscular
boy carrying an oversized backpack, with what appeared to be a
bamboo umbrella perched on top. It wasn't made of bamboo, of
course. Nobody knew exactly what it was made of.

Dragonboy: Dark Matter, if the thing's size and overall weight and
durability are any indication.

"Hey, Ryoga," Ranma replied. The pigtailed boy glanced at
the swath of destruction behind Ryoga, where the dust was still
  settling. "Did you did that?"

"I did," the wanderer replied. "Impressive, isn't it?"

Stiel: I think the time the lost one should be spending in prison on
charges of widespread ruin and manslaughter will be what's really
impressive.

"I suppose," Ranma said. "That can't be your shishi houkou
  dan."

Dragonboy: Little nit-pick, but the names of special techniques like that
should be capitolized.

Ranma peered at the cd cover. "Turn Loose the Swans, by
My Dying Bride?" He glanced up. "Never heard of it. What is it?"

"Only the gloomiest, most depressing metal you're ever laid

you're --> you've

ears on." Ryoga grinned nastily. He cracked his knuckles in
anticipation. "When I listen to this music, my aura of depression is
magnified tenfold! You can imagine what that does to my shishi
  houkou dan!"

Ranma glanced back up the street. He didn't have to imagine
  anything.

Dragonboy: All things considered, Ranma seems to be taking all of this in
pretty calm stride.

Ryoga snapped the headphones back over his ears and held
his finger over the cd player's "on" button. He assumed a fighter's
  stance.

"Now, Ranma," he said, "prepare to meet your doom...."

                   FINI

Dragonboy: Not bad. Like I mentioned, the only thing about it was how calm
Ranma seemed to be considering the technique Ryoga was preparing to use on
him. Other than that, it was pretty good.

Stiel: I've actually heard of My Dying Bride before, though I've never
heard their songs. Using the power of death metal to supercharge Ryoga is a
nice concept though. Liked the idea, and grammar/punctuation was fine.
Good work.
