It is a bit more than 1,3GB (according to GMail).
I've uploaded the archives from ffml.anifics.com
(08.1995-today) onto my GMail-account.
The search-facility is as fast as with only 100MB.

As for creating a search *engine*, well, that's a heck of a chore to
ask someone else to do, and I know *my* coding skills aren't up to it.
But I understand there *are* prepackaged search engines out there, some
even designed for handling ML archives.  I could try doing a bit of
research....

Google has done it for me...

Carsten, had fun with the upload, which needed 2 Weeks work.

So, David, are your programming skills up to writing a script that'll take
search terms from a "FFML webpage" and throw it into google?  Granted, not
a big challenge but probably something that needs to be done if the FFML
is to revamp itself (because while all of us would probably care enough to
take three seconds to do it, a prospective member might not even pay
attention for that long).

The sardines weren't worth the trouble.  A few more shots, then
Ryoga-san would overheat and explode.  Ducking around a corner,
I managed to lose him as I entered the ramshackle residence of
my Anime supplier.

One look at his face and I knew that I had been betrayed.  "Tell me,"
I insisted.  He refused, so I slammed him against the wall.
"Last chance.  Where can Ranma-Ranma find good fanfics?"
"Try Jason Liao," he whispered, before he slumped to the floor.
