Jason Liao:
There were a few people who broke into 'published' status. I don't think
anyone has ever felt 'used'.
That depends. I believe I am the only "pro" left on the FFML; many
of the the rest left because they no longer felt comfortable here.
I can understand this completely, because I know for a fact, from
experience, that list admin can and has responded with active
hostility to any suggestion that I might talk about my pro works.
(Obligatory pre-reflexive tempban disclaimer: I have *no*
professionally-published products in the pipeline at the moment.
I am *not* advertising.) The other pros who left may not have felt
"used", but I can assure you that they were made to feel *unwelcome*.
-- Bob, who realizes that just admitting he's a pro with a backlist
might get him nailed for "advertising"
