Well, I've settled into married life and being a full time mom of three
wonderful step-children (ages 9, 12 and 14), my difficult pregnancy
(including 6 weeks of bed rest thanks to toxemia) is long over, I no

longer

need physical therapy for the car accident I was in back in February, and
I've gotten rather adept at typing one-handed while holding a six-month

old

baby on my lap.

Wow, and I thought MY family had had a busy six months or so....@_@

So I guess I'm out of excuses, especially after my little spate of

activity

on the list today.  Here's some C&C.

He can't help it, it's in his blood...

*Barou...they'd be in danger anyway. It's not like those guys would

the people who know me alone if they found out I wasn't dead...*

It's been a while since I've watched my fansubs, but "barou" really threw
me.  From your use of it in this fic, I know it must be Shinichi's catch
phrase, like Kenshin's "Oro," or Sasuke's "Dobe."  I can only presume that
it means something like "idiot" or "stupid."  Normally, I don't mind the

use

of Japanese in anime fanfiction, but this confused me, and I'm a Conan

fan.

I get a lot of that. Yeah, he tends to use 'barou' instead of 'baka' or
'ahou' or the like.

"Suffocating...breasts..."

"Eep!" The tall girl's face reddened like a tomato, and she very nearly
flung the boy across the room. "Shinichi! Don't say perverted things

like

that..."

He rolled his eyes at her. "Don't try to kill me with those things,

then."

"You little..."

"Eep!"

Heheh!  So totally could see this happening.

Indeed. XD

And so ended the first night of Shinichi's strange new life as a small

boy

named Edogawa Conan.

*But,* he mused as he drifted off to sleep in the arms of the girl he
loved
more than anything in the world, *at least I'm not alone...*

Not really much to say in the way of criticism.  It's a very nice what-if
fic, and very plausible.  What a different series it would be if Shinichi
had told Ran the truth from the very beginning.  Are you planning to

explore

this scenario further by any chance?  It's perfect as a one-shot, but I
confess, you've piqued my curiosity, and I'd like to see more.

I might, I dunno. I have so much I have to do first...I've got a ficswap
challenge to write for manycases1truth that I'm totally freaking over
because it involves characters I have almost NO direct experience with, and
I've got a pile of backlogged fics to read and C&C, anime to watch, and
other stuff to do, and then on top of THAT there's my own writing backlog,
which includes at least FOUR different Conan fics (the opus ChibiNation, the
Bleach crossover, and a new Danny Phantom crossover I just started messing
around with, plus a straight-up Conan fic I've almost entirely written in my
head that'll take about eight to ten hours to actually get down in Wordpad
when I just get around to DOING it...)

I have 24/7 free time and STILL it's not enough @_@;;
