Duo dressed in red for the mission. Everything he wore was
dark, deep red, from his velvet vest and tailed coat, to his trim
slacks, to his silk shirt with the fall of lace at his throat and
cuffs, right down to the ribbon that tied off the end of his
braid.

Whee for anachronistic and questionable-sexuality wardrobe! XD

This *is* Gundam Wing.  Have you ever seen some of the stuff Trieze and 
Zechs wear?  Anachronistic and questionable-sexuality wardrobes are all the 
rage, especially for Romerfeller.  Duo's usually dressed as a Catholic 
priest.  ;)

     Everything red... except the stark bone-white ivory mask
that covered the upper part of his face.

How sad is it that my FIRST reaction to "bone-white ivory mask" is 
"Hollow"?

     If nothing else, reading Poe gave me insight into Duo's
unique flair for the dramatic; not to mention his biting, dark
sense of humor.

Technical comment: I'd swap "biting" and "dark" here. "dark, biting" 
sounds
more natural.

Hm.  I'll have to think about that.  I kind of went with "biting, dark" to 
make it stand out.  But if it's too distracting, I should probably change 
it.
