Yes... well, I suppose I should have mentioned, in the midst of of my
response, that I have long admired Lurker as one of the better examples of
fanfiction authors.

So really, Lurker, I was never out to attack you.  Actually, knowing that
you've written HP fanfiction makes my search for "gems amidst the sludge" so
much easier.  I'd be very interested to read your HP fics -- on list, should
things change that way, or off.  And I'm not in the habit of kissing up to
anyone for the sake of easing wounded feelings, so you should take this at
face value.  :D
