I forget if we even bothered to do an annual "Counts As Anime"  
roundup last
year when Avatar debuted; there's a number of series I would like to
recommend as permissible on the FFML, but if we're on the cusp of a
potential format change (I, for one, second it heartily), then it  
can wait
until that's under the bridge.

I don't think there's any if about it. It's Evolve or Die time. The  
only question is; "evolve into what?"
