Gaav is a dragon?

Besides, even Lina's just a single girl, with only limited potential for
destruction. Even if the limit is very high ;).

and demand they finish their match, without interruptions from the Hell
Brat. And Lina, having at least as bad a temper as the Monster, was more
than happy to oblige. Of course, when you can neither die or even get
tired, it's hard to establish who's a better fighter, so alternatives
had to be thought out - a year-long running battle made that abundantly
clear to everyone. But of course, when one would lose, they immediately
declared that the game hadn't been "their style", or just picked a real
fight.

wouldn't be such a bad day after all.

So the buildings can be destroyed but the people can't even be 
temporarily hurt?

"Hurt" and "disabled" are different matters.

As I see it, having an afterlife pretty much demands people having
immortal souls - if they didn't, there wouldn't anything to live after
body's dead, and thus no afterlife. Being immortal means that they can't
be killed, hence the people in afterlife are indestructible. On the
other hand, the buildings are just matter arranged in some pattern, so
they *can* be destroyed.

And Saygram *did* get hurt - why else would Zelgadis care if he got hit?
He just didn't get *killed* or injured. And, as long as you're just hurt
and not really injured, you can keep on fighting if you have willpower -
something both Lina and Gaav have in abundance, thus being able to keep
on fighting as long as they want.

I suppose I should had been more verbose about all this, but I wrote the
fic years ago during a particularly boring lecture, and decided to post
it now mainly to generate some on-topic traffic for the list. Of course
that's not an excuse, but, in the end, this *was* a spamfic.
