Additionally, when I do C&C, what I have to say often tends to be purely

Heh, in all honesty, it can be a little boring for the author, too.
While I would never go so far as to say "I don't care about those
errors", it is a little disheartening when someone obviously takes that
amount of time to peruse your fic, and winds up giving something that's
less C&C and more proofreading.
The corrections are often appreciated, but when you receive a reply from
someone that's 90-100% correcting minor spelling and grammar errors, it
can actually be a bit annoying. It sparks a feeling of "You could take
the time to correct my typos, but not to say 'I liked this section, it
made me feel ______' or 'This passage in particular was _______'? Thanks
a ton."
I'd encourage people that find themselves mostly sending C&C that's more
"Corrections & Corrections" than "Comments & Criticisms" to try giving
at least one comment on your reactions to or thoughts of the fic for
every two sections of correction.
